All goods on sale at the market have been produced within a 35 mile radius of Lostwithiel, sold by the producers themselves. By buying from the market you are not only helping to cut down on pollution and global warming but also helping the local economy. Produce is only available in season and includes a selection of free range meat; poultry and eggs; home made sausages; ham and bacon; ice cream and cheeses; chutneys; jams, marmalade and pickles; bread, cakes and savouries; vegetables; fruit, plants and flowers; handmade crafts. The market is a social occasion where not only producers meet and share their ups and downs, but also where the public come and meet up with friends, discuss the pros and cons of different stalls and leave with full shopping bags.
