Activities
The Cornish Riviera provides for anyone that's looking for an active holiday, as well as those who prefer to relax in their own fashion!
If it's an activity that you need, try something from these:
- The Cornish Way - a walking / cycling trail, part of the Sustrans National Network, passes down from Bodmin, through the Eden Project and China Clay Trails, to St Austell. Thence along the Pentewan Valley to the coast, up to Heligan Gardens and on to Mevagissey. The route then follows quiet lanes through the Roseland Peninsula to cross the River Fal at the King Harry Ferry on its way to Truro.
- Horse riding - there are a number of horse riding stables offering a range of outings and riding instruction for anyone from the novice to the experienced equestrian.
- Sailing - Two sailing clubs, at Pentewan and Porthpean, offer good sailing and new crew members are always welcome! Club racing takes place regularly during the season.
- Surfing - mainly a North Coast sport, there is nevertheless often a small amount of surf on the south coast beaches, such as Pentewan, to give that rush of adrenalin as you surf the crest of the wave!
