NETTLE DAY includes Lunch with Nettles! Come & spend a day celebrating & learning about the humble nettle...

Adults £50, under 16s £20, or £150 for family

Enjoy making & lunching on bread, soup & pesto - all incorporating nettles. Topped off with a taste of nettle beer for adults & cordial for kids.

Later you can choose from making nettle string, shampoo, green manure, cordial & see how easy it all is.

You'll leave with new skills, a satisfied stomach & you'll see nettles in a whole new positive light!

The Venue:
Held at Cotna Barton, at the idyllic 14 acre smallholding run by Dave & Sara Readman Smyth. We'll be eating, learning & creating in the beautiful rustic strawbale barn, as well as out on the land.

Please bring:
Gardening gloves, scissors, 2 x bottles or jam jars.
Wear weather appropriate clothing & remember to cover your legs/ arms to protect yourself from stings.

Road Directions

Take the B3274 toward Mevagissey from the A390 at the St Austell MacDonalds roundabouts. Pass the Pentewan campsite and, at the top of the hill, turn right towards Lost Gardens of Heligan. Continue past Heligan to Gorran Churchtown. You will see a Post Office on your right & church on your left. Turn left there & go behind church. Follow the bumpy track & signs for footpath.
