Mevagissey is still a working fishing village and has quaint, narrow streets centred on the twin harbour - with a superb local museum and aquarium. From The Fo'c's'le, it's just a 2 minute walk to the village shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and harbour. Close to the village is the renowned Lost Gardens of Heligan - a 200 acre Victorian garden - the largest European garden restoration project of the 20th Century. Within a short drive, there are many other major attractions, including the Eden Project, Lanhydrock House & Gardens, Charlestown, Fowey, Tresillian Gardens etc.
The property is designed to maximise the valley views with 'reverse accommodation' - the lounge being on the first floor, bedrooms on the ground floor. There is pleasant garden with a lovely, private patio seating area and there is ample on-site car parking.
On the first floor, the leaded glazed entrance doors lead through to the Conservatory and then to the lounge and inner hallway with cloakroom. The large kitchen / diner is well equipped with electric oven and built-in hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster etc. Double-glazed French doors lead onto the balcony and garden. The lounge has a cut-slate fireplace and hearth and a wide window seat with lovely, far-reaching village views. There is a Freeview colour television, cd and dvd player with a small selection of DVDs available.
The lower floor has a hallway giving access to the 3 bedrooms and bathroom. The bedrooms offer a twin room, a double with king-size bed and a bunk-bedded room. The bathroom has a toilet, bidet, hand basin and corner bath with electric shower above
The utility room on this floor has a washing machine and access to the garden.
The property has night-storage heaters throughout. Car access is at the upper level and there is a garage for storage of the car or other items. Bedlinen and towels are all included in the rates.
