Liskey House is situated in the peaceful Cornish countryside and yet is also neighbour to the Eden Project. We offer a very large en suite Double room with plenty of space for a seating area and a separate dressing room with built-in wardrobes. The en suite bathroom is also large, having both a walk-in shower enclosure, a large corner bath plus twin wash basins.

There is a colour television, Free WiFi access and Tea & Coffee facilities

The en suite accommodation is on the first-floor and enjoys separate access so that you're free to come and go as you please. Regretably, it is not suitable for anyone with mobility problems.

Breakfast is served in our sun lounge, overlooking the south-facing garden.

Liskey House was originally several mining cottages and these have been converted into a comfortable, family-sized house. The house is surrounded by south facing gardens in a quiet rural area, a few miles east of St Austell. Liskey is situated with stunning views over the picturesque St. Austell Bay and looks out towards Carlyon Bay Golf Course. We are within 10 minutes walking distance to The Eden Project so that you can walk there a get the discount on entry!

Although the location is in the countryside, we are not far from the A390 / A391 and approximately a 10 minute drive from St.Austell town and the south Cornish coast, with local beaches such as Carlyon Bay, Charlestown and Polkerris. Major attractions within a short drive include the National Trust's Lanhydrock House & Gardens, the literary town of Fowey, fishing villages such as Mevagissey and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

If you're interested in seeing more of Cornwall, we are well situated for touring with nowhere being more than an hour-or-so's drive.

Road Directions

FROM the A30, turn off onto the A391 at Innis Downs. Take the A391 towards St Austell. There is a long hill descent with several roundabouts, turn left at the 3rd roundabout on the hill, signposted to Tregrehan. Take care at the crossroads in the village - due to the poor visibility to the left - and continue straight across the crossroad. Drive up the hill and, as you pass over the brow of the hill, you will see the drive for Liskey House on the left-hand side.

FROM Plymouth on the A38, take the A38 towards Bodmin. At Dobwalls, turn left onto the A390. After some ditsance, pass through St Blazey & St Blazey Gate. After the roundabout by the 'Brittania' pub, take the next right turn, signposted to 'Tregrehan'. At the crossroads, turn right and drive up the hill. As you pass over the brow of the hill, you will see the drive for Liskey House on the left-hand side.

Public Transport Directions

St Austell's station is a "Transport Interchange" with Mainline Rail, National Coach and Local Bus services plus a local taxi rank.

Unfortunately, as Liskey House is in a rural situation, the nearest bus service is on the main road, the A390, by the Brittania Inn.

Take the Local Bus Service from King's Avenue, above Station, Western Greyhound No.524 to Fowey, alight at Tregrehan turn on A390. Walk for 19 minutes to Liskey House
Or from Bay 7 in Bus Station, Travel Cornwall Service No. 423, alight as above
Or from King's Avenue, Western Greyhound No.527 to Bodelva, Eden Project. Alight at Tregrehan Mills. Walk 10 minutes to Liskey House
